Conservative Republican House District 65 candidate Gene Stille is a long-time Weld County activist from the Eaton area.

Gene is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, fiscal conservative, who as a Bible-believing Christian will be a strong advocate for the Traditional Family.

Gene was born and raised on a farm in southwest Iowa, moved to Colorado in 1960 and graduated from Loveland High School in 1962. After high school he worked on cross-country pipeline construction and in the high country in the timber industry. He joined the US Coast Guard in 1964 and after an honorable discharge in 1968 went to Aims Community College graduating with an AS degree in electronics.

In 1968 Gene was married to Dianne Johnson, a nurse, and they have two children. They also have bragging rights to claim five grandkids.

Following college, he began work for Eastman Kodak in Windsor as an Electronic Technician and then in the field of Metrology (the science of measurement). After 30 years with Kodak, he retired in 2000 and received his licensing both in Real Estate Appraising and as a Real Estate Broker. He is currently the Farm and Ranch Realtor at the Gongloff Group in Greeley.

Gene lives on a small farm east of Eaton where he raises hay and boards horses and mules. As a board member of the Colorado Mule Riders, Gene is passionate about Colorado's western heritage.

Gene has been involved with numerous church, community, and professional organizations with leadership positions on many committees and boards.

Having been elected a Weld County Councilman, he desires to be more involved in state government and feels that being a State Representative will give him that opportunity. He will be an asset to the legislature with a strong work ethic and a practical, no-nonsense approach to solving issues. He will be a "Citizen's Representative" in office.
