** The Colorado HEARTH Fund Endorsement Committee has reviewed this candidate's qualifications and the unique character of this particular race, and has endorsed this candidacy. HOWEVER, FOLLOWING THE PRIMARY ELECTION, KEVAN WAS DEFEATED AND WILL NOT APPEAR ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT.**
Following graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in Finance, Kevan has been involved with investments & financial consulting for twenty years.

"Through my practice, I have seen first hand the pressures that many Coloradoans face, whether saving for a child's future, paying for a home, living on a pension, or paying the rising costs of health care. I will work for Lovelanders to keep taxes low & government interference to a minimum. Government can't create prosperity, but it sure can hinder it."
Kevan is raising his family right here in Loveland.

"After Julie & I married sixteen years ago, we decided big city life was not for us any longer. We moved to Loveland eleven years ago and are bringing up Connor, Katie, & Brendan in this community. We share your concerns about the quality of education in our local schools and the safety of our roads.

Kevan is involved in the community.

"My love of Colorado's back country brought us here, but the warmth of Loveland's people has kept us here. I helped the Continental Trail Divide Alliance build hiking trails and worked alongside others in the Estes Valley Improvement Association to improve the Lake Estes & Mary's Lake areas. I coached my son's baseball team and still hold a stop watch for his school's track meets. Through Faith Evangelical Church, I helped start a men's ministry, mentored young adults, led a boy's bible study, and currently teach Sunday School & sit on the Missions Board."

Kevan first became interested in politics when Ronald Reagan ran for President, and first worked at the grass roots level when Phil Gramm ran for Congress.

"Those early experiences with public policy & politics shaped my fiscally conservative views of government. Since then, I have had a great & continuing interest in GOP public policy. In Larimer County, I've supported the party by attending the Republican Breakfast Club, the Republican Luncheon Club, participating in the summer Straw Poll, as well as the Fall Chili Supper. I love to be involved and intend to help the party get the Legislature back on track in Denver."
