Dave is currently serving his 6th year in the Colorado House of Representatives. Considered one of the most conservative legislators in Colorado on every issue, he has become a strong and outspoken voice for Core Republican values including pro-life, pro-family, educational choice, second amendment, lower taxes, less government intrusion and greater freedom and liberty for Colorado's citizens. During the past two sessions of the Colorado Legislature, he has become known for his strong stance to control illegal immigration within the state of Colorado.

As a husband, father, and grandfather, Dave Schultheis also knows the benefits of a strong family. That is why he evaluates each newly-proposed law in terms of whether or not it will help to strengthen our families.

Dave is a fearless warrior for truth. His votes are consistently based upon Judeo-Christian principles. In 2005, he was awarded the Legislator of the Year by Christian Home Educators of Colorado.

During the past two years, his vision has led to the formation of a caucus of Republican legislators, called the Republican Study Committee of Colorado (www.rscc.us), a group of legislators dedicated to holding firmly to Core Republican Principles. As a founder and its first Chairman, it is his hope that this group will become a strong influence within Colorado's Republican Party.
