Dear Home School families,
In 2004 we lost control of the Colorado legislature and with it went values that you and I hold dear. This is a critical election year for Colorado families. We have a golden opportunity to regain control of the Senate and re-establish the priorities that will serve us best as we move into the future.
I am thankful for the dedication and sacrifices made by the pioneers of the homeschool movement. It was a long, uphill battle and thanks to them we have a pretty good environment in Colorado, but we can never let our guard down. Every American must always be diligent and on guard against attacks to our freedoms and rights as American citizens, and the people we elect to represent us must be particularly diligent. In the recent past we have seen increasing challenges to a parent's right to raise and educate their children as they see best, personal property rights, the freedom of speech and religion, the sanctity of life, the right to keep and bear arms. We must secure these in Colorado.
In addition to protecting our liberties, we must have leadership with technical training and experience as we face the challenges ahead. Colorado has an abundance of resources and talented resourceful people but we must make sure we use common sense and good science as we make decisions about how we use these resources. We must also address the problems of illegal immigration and re-evaluate the size and scope of our state government.
You need to know that the person you send to Denver as your representative in the Colorado Senate shares your traditional American values, recognizes our Godly heritage and has a vision for the future that is bright indeed. I offer you a unique combination of rural roots, education and technical experience to solve problems in Colorado. I am working hard to spread our conservative message and I would love to have your help. Join me in this campaign to win back the Senate and make a difference in Colorado.
