Sueyuna Duthie

Sueyuna Duthie is a candidate for State Senate District 28. Her husband, Matthew Duthie, and she are the homeschooling parents of three daughters ages 13, 7 and 2. They are registered with Schema Christian Academy and we fall under the private school option doing home instruction. They are also involved with The House on the Rock, a dynamic homeschool support group, and are members of HSLDA.
Sueyuna have been the private home instructor of her daughters for eight years. Previously, she taught at St. Andrews Lutheran School, a private Christian school, in Denver. She served as a career coach at Manual High School back in the late '90's in the eleventh grade classroom. Her experience in education also spans to the university level where she served as the diversity program coordinator for college freshman at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Sueyuna earned her teaching practicum in elementary education in the 2nd grade classroom at Jewell Elementary in Aurora, Colorado. Her experience in education is broad in its scope ranging from montessori education through the university level. She firmly believe that school choice is a freedom that we must defend. She stands committed to supporting The Hearth Fund's five principle's of freedom.
