There can be a number of candidates for any given District who wish to represent the Party at the General Election. Some candidates are better suited to represent your own particular concerns and interests, and the Primary is where you get to vote for the candidate of your choice.
The 2nd most critical point at which we can make a difference in the election process (after the Caucus) is at the Primary. The HEARTH Fund has identified several races in which it is important that OUR endorsed candidate win the District race. This decision is based not only on the Candidate's capabilites and character, but also on the strategic significance of that particular race.
Often, we have won the seat and the candidate of choice for office by electing the right candidate during the Primary!
