Dear Friend of Homeschooling:

From my perspective in the Colorado legislature and as a founding member of the board of Christian Home Educators of Colorado (CHEC), I see the tremendous challenges and opportunities facing our culture.

For over 18 years I have witnessed home educators rediscovering the awesome power and influence of a healthy home. As a result, they are revitalizing their families, changing futures and, in many ways, remolding our culture.

At the same time we are all too aware that there is a battle going on for the heart and soul of our land. Even as home educators are changing the culture one family at a time, the battle is hard-fought at the public policy level. As a member of the Colorado House of Representatives, I have seen first hand how crucial it is that we elect the right people to our legislature.

Liberty, honoring the sanctity of life, recognizing parental authority, defending the very meaning of marriage and limiting the intrusive growth of government into our lives and our families are not principles to which most of our legislators are deeply committed.

As a homeschool community, we can use the Colorado HEARTH Fund as a powerful tool for defending our freedoms.

The Colorado HEARTH Fund reflects the truth that "Home Educators Actively Revitalizing The Home" can change our culture. The goal of the HEARTH Fund is to harness this positive, creative spirit we have in the homeschool community and turn it into a powerful change agent for Colorado's public policy. It will enable us to have a significant influence on the future policies of our state.

Will you help me get the word out about this crucial work? I cannot do it alone, but together we can make this happen.

PLEASE DO THREE THINGS TODAY!

1. Pray for the success of this effort.

2. Pass this message on to everyone you know who might be interested in furthering the cause of electing principled men and women to the legislature. Please do not just "forward" the message. Paste this into your own message and add any personal comments you think appropriate for those you are sending it to.

3. Join the Colorado HEARTH Fund. All that is required to join is to sign up online and commit to invest at least five hours of your time during the next election season.

We need to build as big a team as possible for this vitally important effort.
